Rules for MENTORS in the program

As you are aware from the Code of Conduct on your application, there is no sexual contact allowed on the program between Mentors and mentees. However, you are allowed to discuss it so they have a basic understanding of how it works within a D/s relationship. Any questions you are asked that you do not feel comfortable answering, please contact HuniPet or Willow. If any mentee suggests, hints or asks you to have any form of sexual contact with you, we are to be informed straight away. This also applies to those in the program that are not in your care.




6 weeks is an approximation of the time it takes. Some will progress faster, some slower. We want to go at the pace of the mentee.

Each Mentor is... at very minimum... meet face-to-face with their mentee for 30 minutes, 3-5 days a week. I prefer a meeting length of 60 minutes with daily contact but I know this is not always possible.

If you know you will not be able to speak to your sub or will be away, it is your responsibility to contact your mentee(s) to inform them of your absence.



All subs need to keep a daily journal. The journal can either be in notecard format submitted daily to you or at http://WWW.livejournal.com (set to private or friends.. NOT public). If the mentee is not comfortable sharing their journal with you, they may send it directly to HuniPet who will forward it to Willow.

Journaling is a wonderful tool to see how they are growing and processing new ideas and concepts. We encourage you to talk about their entries with them, but *never* any kind of reprimand for that they write. Their journal is the window to their mind and must be respected. See "no one way to do BDSM" rule.




You will assign the subs two written tasks each week.
Each week, Mentors will submit the written tasks and daily journal to both HuniPet and Willow.

Mentors may add additional tasks and assignments for the mentee. Please keep HuniPet and Willow informed of any additional tasks and topics.

Again, this is fluid, go with the pace of your mentee. If she/he can only write one a week, that is fine. You, the Mentor, must read them and discuss them with your mentee. Ask questions, encourage them to think deeper about the assignment. Play Devil's Advocate if you must but enourage them to look at the topic from different angles.

If you feel there is something in the task that concerns you or that you are not sure how to handle, IM HuniPet or Willow.

Subs that are new to SL may need to be shown the basic workings of a collar, including help and advice about RLV. A free collar can be obtained from Open Collar. The sub will set themselves as owner in order to learn more about how the collar works. We recommend that RLV is not turned on while on the program. RLV may need to be explained as well. There are special circumstances where the Mentor may be added as an owner to a mentee's collar but that is not to happen unless the Mentor discusses it with HuniPet or Willow *first*.

A lot of our learning is by making mistakes and although we want to help stop the big ones, small ones need to be made. As Mentors, we are here to create a safe space for them to journey. We are here to guide them and make sure they are getting the foundations of what they need to know. We are not here to convert them to one way of thinking. There is no right or wrong way!



When you feel your mentee has accomplished all tasks, assignments and goals and is prepared to graduate, IM both Willow and HuniPet.

At the successful completion of the Program each sub will be given a certificate of completion and a *HOV Empowered sub* tag. They will also be asked to review and rate the program regarding what they have learned. This review will help us to know if we need to make any changes. It is *not* used as a grading system for Mentors. Our Mentors are screened before being accepted and are given the power and authority to perform their mentoring as they deem necessary.




We would love for Mentors to hold a discussion. We can do guest appearances with BLLC or a regular slot. This is not mandatory. We just want to get as much info and perspective out there as we can. None of us claim to be experts but may have more experience in one area than another. Anything you can offer will give the ones not in your care a chance to hear your views. The discussion can be held at a time that suits you so please let us know when is best so that we can get things in place.

All Mentors should also be in the BDSM Lifestyles Learning Center group. Notices and schedules will be sent out for discussions. You will have a mentor tag in that group as well.

All protected subs need to go to one discussion a week.

Subs are not allowed to collar at any level during the program.

Protected subs are exempt from being claimed on Member's Day. The exception to this rule is dancers participating in the Protected submissive Program are *not* exempt from being claimed on Member's Day(s).
