Information for MENTOR applicants

Postby Hunipet Delicioso » Fri Sep 12, 2014 3:34 pm

This notecard is to provide information on the House of V Protected submissive Program to those who are considering a mentor role.

The mentor role is a responsible one and should not be taken lightly. Becoming a mentor is *not* a path to obtaining a submissive of your own. Our program is not a match-maker nor a hunting ground. Applicants are required to sign a Code of Conduct before being accepted as a Mentor. That Code of Conduct is strictly enforced.

You are given tutorship of one (or more) protected subs. For many, the interaction with you will be the first impression they get of D/s lifestyle. It is critical that you offer a glimpse of the lifestyle in a safe and sane manner. How you behave can affect the whole view about D/s they are forming. You represent our club as well. It is imperative that you are able to do your job fairly and in an effective manner. Below are some guidelines about your future role.

1) You are NOT your assigned mentee's Dom/me, Mistress or Master. You are their guide and protector. No collars are to be set, if a sub in the Program asks for this please contact HuniPet or Willow.

2) That being said, you do deserve your assigned mentee's respect and follow through when it comes to tasks regarding their learning from you. You are there to help, guide and nurture them but do not own them in any way.

3) You may discuss different types of scenes with the sub you are mentoring to include feelings and sensations associated with the scene. There is to be NO sexual contact of any kind with any sub in the Program.

4) The protected submissive has the right to ask for a change of their mentor. This ensures that neither you nor your mentee feel stuck if the dynamics do not work for whatever reason. It happens and we'd rather reassign than frustrate the Mentor and mentee. We want this to be a positive experience for everyone involved.

5) You will no doubt receive many questions from your mentee. Answer well and with careful consideration to those that you can. If you do not know or feel that someone can answer the question better or from a different viewpoint, do not be shy to take the questions to them. Providing quality information sometimes means that Mentors say "I don't know but let's find out".

6) If there is problem between you and your assigned mentee, bring it to HuniPet or Willow. Please do not discuss your frustration, personal or confidential information regarding your mentee with those outside of the Program.

7) Submissives with varying level of experience are assigned to the program. A completely new person might need help with D/s basics, basic manners and behavior... but there are also people who have the experience already and merely need to know how to apply it to SL.

8) The other mentors, along with the Manager and Director, are there to help and support you. If you have questions about anything related to handling your assigned sub(s) or other Protected submissive Program related things, do not hesitate to reach out.

If after reading this you are interested in becoming one of our team of mentors, contact HuniPet Delicioso, Program Manager or Willow Tamalyn Stratten, Program Director, for an interview.
